Medicine is an ever-changing science, and staying updated is paramount for proper patient treatment.The Physician's Forum Jalandhar was established as an academic platform for all physicians in Jalandhar to discuss the latest developments, techniques, and medicines in the field.

    Key Highlights

  • Formation:

    • The idea was conceived by Dr. Vijay Mahajan and Dr. Kapil Gupta, a Senior Physician of Jalandhar, who decided to call the first meeting of the Senior Physician committee.

  • First Meeting: Held in March 1991

    • Attendees of the First Meeting: Dr. M.K. Arora Dr. Pawan Gupta Dr. Rishi Arya Dr. C.P. Sikka​Dr. Sudhir Sethi

  • Initial Decisions:

    • The academic body was named "Physician's Forum".​It was decided to hold one or two meetings of the forum every month.​It was also decided to hold an "Annual Update" every year.

Impact and Legacy

The first Annual Update was held on various cardiac diseases and named 'Cardiology Update'. It was attended by over 400 delegates and renowned cardiologists from across the country. It was the first largest conference in the region and is a regular feature.​The Forum has been instrumental in helping Physicians: Gain experience in the latest developments. Develop a sense of brotherhood. Imbibe leadership qualities, learning, and knowledge that has propelled many members to present and chair at national and international forums.
